Close to the Houses of Parliament and just round the corner from Tate Britain, the White Horse & Bower (WHB to those in the know) is a handsome, stylish pub whose political and media clientele are drawn to its classic interior.  Described as "the local in the middle of the city", the pub is a stone's throw from the Thames and in summer tourists can enjoy a cooling pint on the pavement before a stroll by the capital's famous river. The pub serves fine cask ales, distinctive international lagers and has an impressive wine selection. Built in the early 1900s, the White Horse & Bower offers a variety of live music - jazz, rock and tribute bands and DJ nights are planned for the coming months. It is also available for private hire at the weekends.
